What do we do when it rains?
-We Golf! There are a few different strategies we might pursue but the one thing we never do is cancel due to rain! Usually, in the morning, we check the local Doppler radar and can sometimes plan around the weather by travelling to one of our other par 3 courses in the opposite direction from the inclement weather.
What should campers wear?
-Each camper has their own identity and unique fashion expression and we try to encourage personal style but due to golf course management several of our courses have a dress code so we at Foster’s do as well. Jeans are not allowed, kahki shorts /skirts or similar are recommended, and shirts with a collar are required, no tee shirts. We do offer shirts and hats for sale that tend to be the hot item of the summer! Soft spikes are permitted but sneakers do just fine. And finally, New England mornings even in the summer are sometimes downright frigid so a light parker or sweater would be a welcomed commodity to any chilly golfer.
What should campers bring?
-An excellent question! Each camper should bring with them golf clubs ( for the beginner a driver, fairway wood, hybrid, 7 & 9 iron, wedge and putter), though we do have rentals available that are tailored to fit all sizes from young golfers to the ever outgrowing everything teen! Campers should also bring at least a dozen golf balls and a bag of tees. Lunch time is a time honored tradition at Foster’s. Whether it’s a picnic lunch under the oak tree at Piches Bolduc Park Par 3 in Laconia NH after a 9 hole morning round or on the Apple Wood Par 3 in Windham NH veranda overlooking the first tee, lunch time is much enjoyed! Campers are encouraged to bring a lunch with plenty of snacks and plenty of water!
